Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered is available on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. All four launched on November 3, 2026 with the same 12 monsters and modes. There is no version for the original Nintendo Switch, PS4 or Xbox One.
The main differences are price, the subscription you need for online play, and a few platform features.

PlayStation 5
The PlayStation Store lists the game for PS5 only, with no PS4 version. The standard edition is $29.99 and the Digital Deluxe Edition is $34.99. Online play needs PlayStation Plus. The page also lists Remote Play support, and cloud streaming to PS5 and PlayStation Portal for Premium subscribers. Physical PS5 copies are listed by retailers in the UK and Australia.
Xbox Series X|S
The Xbox Store says the game is only available on Xbox Series X|S, so there is no Xbox One version. The standard edition is $29.99, the Digital Deluxe Edition is $34.99, and the upgrade is also sold as a $5.99 add-on. Online multiplayer needs Game Pass Essential, Premium or Ultimate. You can also stream it through Xbox Cloud Gaming, which requires both Game Pass and a purchase of the game. The store page does not list it as part of the Game Pass library.
Nintendo Switch 2
The Nintendo eShop lists the game for Nintendo Switch 2 only. It supports 1 to 4 local players, online play with Nintendo Switch Online, and needs 5.0 GB of space. Physical Switch 2 copies are listed by retailers including Best Buy.
Reviewers were impressed with this version. Nintendo Wire reported a steady 60 fps with no stuttering, both handheld and docked, and Cubed3 also found it ran smoothly on Switch 2. Being portable makes it easy to set up a four-player match anywhere.
Can you play it on the original Nintendo Switch?
No. The Nintendo eShop only lists a Switch 2 version, and Atari's official platform list is Steam, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2. A few websites mention "Nintendo Switch", but we found no store listing for the original console. If you own a first-generation Switch, you will need a Switch 2 or one of the other platforms.
PC (Steam)
The PC version is on Steam for $29.99, Windows only. It needs no subscription for online play, supports full controller play and includes 39 Steam achievements. Full system requirements are on the PC page.
Which version should you buy?
- For couch multiplayer on the go: Switch 2, which reviewers praised for performance.
- For no online subscription: PC, where online play is free.
- For playing online with friends: whichever platform your friends already use, because there is no crossplay.
