Keyboard and controls
A controller is the best way to play. Players on the Steam forums report that the game is playable on keyboard, but there is no option to remap keyboard keys. If you plan to play on keyboard, check the default layout in the in-game controls menu first. Our beginner guide has the basic controls we have confirmed so far.

Launch patches for PC
Atari released two hotfixes in the first two days:
- November 3, 2026: VSync is now on by default.
- November 4, 2026: fixes Steam using the wrong audio output device, and fixes the character roster becoming fully locked when save data is corrupted.
If you had sound coming from the wrong speakers or headset, updating to the November 4 hotfix should fix it.
Online play on PC
Online play on Steam needs no subscription. There is no crossplay, so you can only play online against other Steam players. See crossplay for details, and the platforms page to compare PC with the console versions.
