The only complete tier list for the remaster that we have found so far is from the YouTube creator PK Doomy, posted on November 5, 2026, two days after launch. It puts Destoroyah and Mecha-King Ghidorah in the top tier and Anguirus in the lowest.
The game is new, the creator says he was unsure about some placements, and other tier lists online are for the 2002 original, not the remaster. Use this as a starting point, and we will add more rankings as they appear.

PK Doomy also says he thinks Mecha-King Ghidorah may be the single best monster in the game, ahead of Destoroyah.
Why each monster is ranked where it is
S+ tier. Destoroyah is ranked for its very high damage and strong combos on grounded opponents. Mecha-King Ghidorah gets the top spot for its long reach, high damage and extra defence compared with King Ghidorah. Its shield, which absorbs beam attacks while it has energy, is confirmed by one of the game's achievements.
S tier. King Ghidorah has high health and strong long-range attacks. Rodan is the fastest monster and hard to pin down, but PK Doomy says it probably has the lowest durability in the game. Kiryu and Mechagodzilla are grouped together for their defence and strong weapon attacks, such as Kiryu's Absolute Zero Cannon.
A tier. Godzilla (1990) and Godzilla 2000 share similar movesets: good health, reliable tail swipes and simple melee combos, held back by slow energy beams. Orga is a close-range grappler with heavy grab combos, but struggles against monsters that keep their distance. Megalon earns A tier for burrowing underground, which avoids most attacks, plus damaging napalm combos.
B tier. Gigan is quick and can teleport behind opponents, but its damage and defence fall short of the heavier monsters.
Lowest tier. Anguirus is fun, and opponents who hit his spiked back while he blocks get hurt. He is slower than most of the cast and struggles against monsters that spam beams or juggle with high damage.
How to use this list
- Playing with friends: the game is a party brawler, and every monster is usable. Pick the one you enjoy.
- Playing online: online play is 1v1 Quickplay, so match-ups matter more. Monsters in the top two tiers are a safer start.
- New players: Godzilla (1990) is a starting monster and an all-rounder, which makes it a good first pick even though it sits in A tier.
